ResInsight Export

In ParaGeo, the simulation results (plot files) are output in HDF5 format, which is compatible with the open-source visualisation tool ParaView. This includes results from coupled ParaGeo–PFLOTRAN simulations, where data from both solvers is integrated. Optionally, separate PFLOTRAN-only plot files containing just the flow model results can also be generated.

In response to sponsor requests under the INCAST project, we have implemented the export of results in a structured (Eclipse) grid format. These files can be loaded into postprocessing tools such as ResInsight or Petrel.

This functionality is available to both coupled ParaGeo-PFLOTRAN and standalone ParaGeo simulations, including models with non-structured meshes, where the simulation results are mapped to a predefined structured pillar grid to ensure compatibility with the Eclipse grid format.
